I bought the Delta 2 to power things around the house during hurricane power outages. After using the unit, I can say that I am very pleased with my decision.
It tested it to power our fridge which is 120v 21 Cu Ft top freezer fridge. The unit powered the fridge continuously for 14 hours on a single full charge (from 100% to 0%). During this test, we used the fridge as we normally use it. You can see the attached chart that shows the discharge from 100% to 0% over 14 hours.
I also tested the fall-through charging feature that allows you to use the unit while you are charging it which means you can use it as UPS (uninterrupted Power Supply). The attached video shows the test with a 55” TV, Dish Receiver, and a Sound Bar. When I unplugged the Delta 2, the three devices continued working without interruption.
After these tests, I was encouraged to buy a second unit to have the flexibility of powering more devices or to use one while charging the other.
Pros:
-LiFePO4 battery, which means more recharge cycles and longer life.
-Very well-built. One of the units was knocked down from the kitchen counter to the floor and there wasn't even a scratch.
-Very fast charging. From 0 to 100% in 59 minutes.
-Connects to your phone using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
-The phone app is very good. You can use it to check the status, configure the unit, and turn on or off the outputs.
-Set up and configuration is so easy through the app.
-It supports Fall-through charging meaning you can charge it as you use it at the same time.
-Can be used as UPS.
-Very knowledgeable and helpful customer service.
Cons:
-The extra battery can be charged only by connecting it to the Delta 2 unit. You can’t charge it separately.
-The fan gets a little bit loud sometimes. Honestly, this can’t be compared to the noise a gas generator makes.
-The user manual doesn't include information about SOC calibration that needs to be done from time to time. I had to call customer service to get the information.
